The Lake
We can’t really say enough about the calmness and beauty of being so close to a lake. If you’re into water sports at all, you will love the abundance of choice here. From jet skiing, kayaking and fishing to SUP and swimming, you can do it all. Take a quick drive up to Major’s Outpost or Knotty Pine Resort & Marina for rentals and guidance. Everyone in town is happy to help you explore that amazing area. Feel free to use our dock for pick up/ drop off.
Hiking and Fishing
Seeking an adventure or just a nice stroll, you will find the right activity for you here. Mt. Lassen offers more adventure hikes while the Canyon Dam trail along the lake offer a walk or ride depending on your mood. Take in the wildlife along this 18.9 mile trail including bluejays and the illusive fox. Go in search of a waterfall, a swim or a cliff jump at Indian Falls. Sierra’s Fly & Tackle can ‘hook’ you up with bait and all the information you need to plan your day of fishing.
Dine In or Out
A short drive away you will find several small eateries and the sweet town of Chester. There are many options to satisfy your cravings. Koninkrijk Koffie makes the most amazing ham & gouda calzones and Pine Shack will serve you up the best milkshake on the lake since 1952. Venture a bit further and take home a pizza from Buffalo Chips or dine in while enjoying a lake view at Plumas Pines Resort & Bar. Our property also has a great BBQ and sound system, so feel free to stay in.
Outdoor Movies
There is ample private space in the backyard for outdoor movies. Our projector is mobile and can be used anywhere. Just stream from your laptop or phone and connect via bluetooth to the portable speaker. We offer amazing Wi Fi in and around the house. There are several outdoor plastic chairs as well as Adirondack chairs for use and plenty of blankets to bundle up.
